This campaign, directed under her guidance, was set in the breathtaking nature of Inverness—the Gateway to the Highlands. Shot just before I began my studies at the London School of Economics @londonschoolofeconomics , it once graced the windows of Topshop in December. Its mysterious, enchanting quality has stayed with me ever since.

Looking at it now, I’m reminded of Ronnie’s incredible influence—not only in the fashion world, where she’s the creative force behind iconic campaigns for @calvinklein, @topshop, #barneysnewyork, @lanvin, @dior, @commedesgarcons, @fendi, and more—but also in the lives of all who are fortunate enough to have crossed her path.

Ronnie is, without a doubt, a beacon of light. She taught me that being a beacon isn’t about shining for yourself—it’s about lighting the way for others to follow.

Thank you, Ronnie, for lighting the way and showing us how to do the same.✨✨✨

The mask, with its almond-shaped eyes, is undecorated; however, it was common in Egyptian art to outline the eyes with black, giving them a dramatic and powerful appearance.

Cherri spent a year visiting various auction houses to acquire a selection of artifacts and curiosities for his installation “Fragments”, which he later presented at the Egyptian Museum in Torino, home to the largest collection of Egyptian antiquities outside of Egypt

I am delighted to introduce Paris-based Lebanese artist @ali.cherri ✨✨ www.artflyer.net

I had the privilege of interviewing and photographing Ali in his studio. Our conversation was deeply engaging, as we explored a wide range of topics, including archaeology, politics, and environmental issues.

Born in 1976 in Lebanon, Ali Cherri is both a filmmaker and visual artist.

In 2021, he served as the Artist in Residence @nationalgallery in London which culminated in the exhibition “If you prick us, do we not bleed?”

He was awarded the prestigious Silver Lion Award at the 2022 Venice Biennale @labiennale

His debut feature film, “The Dam,” premiered at the Directors’ Fortnight in Cannes in 2022 @festivaldecannes

More recently, he collaborated with @fondation_giacometti for the upcoming exhibition “Envisagement” (2024).

Ellsworth Kelly, though American, found France to be a wellspring of creativity.

After serving in World War II, Kelly moved to Paris, where he was deeply influenced by the country’s avant-garde scene and artists like Matisse.

His minimalist, abstract approach to form and color was sharpened during his time in France, where he observed the landscapes, architecture, and art with a new eye.

The purity and clarity of his works owe much to his years in France, where he absorbed the influence of the European masters while also finding his own artistic voice.

The Matisse and Kelly exhibition at the Fondation Louis Vuitton, which ended in September, was an homage to two giants of modern art.

The exhibition celebrates the 100th anniversary of the movement, which began with André Breton’s publication of the Surrealist Manifesto and centers around a remarkable display of the original manuscript on exceptional loan from the Bibliothèque Nationale de France @labnf

Curated by #DidierOttinger, Assistant Director of the Musée National d’Art Moderne, and #MarieSarré, curator in the Centre Pompidou’s modern collections department.

The exhibition is both chronological and thematic, unfolding through 13 chapters that explore the literary figures who inspired surrealism—such as #Lautréamont #LewisCarroll and the #MarquisdeSade—and the myths that shape its poetic imagination, including the artist as a medium, the dream, the philosopher’s stone, and the forest.

“Surrealism” presents a diverse collection of paintings, drawings, films, photographs, and literary documents, allowing visitors to experience the full breadth and depth of the surrealist movement.

I had the pleasure of visiting and photographing Palazzo Pucci and the Villa in Granaiolo, both of which house sections of the remarkable archive.

Palazzo Pucci, with its exquisite architectural details and rich history, offered an inspiring glimpse into centuries of artistic and cultural heritage.

Meanwhile, the Villa in Granaiolo, nestled in the beautiful Tuscan countryside, added another layer of charm to the experience. The juxtaposition of the villa’s serene, rustic surroundings with the precious archival materials it holds was breathtaking.
